Continuing with the wildlife of the Cerrado biome, here we have a Southern Tamandua. This species is not restricted to savannas, but it is actually distributed in a wide variety of habitats across South America. Its distribution spans the Amazon Basin, the Cerrado, the Caatinga, the Atlantic Forest, the Chaco, and all major ecoregions of tropical South America east of the Andes. It is even found in Trinidad and Tobago.
