We start the week with more pictures from the Caatinga, from our most recent survey there. Here we have a male gray-brocket deer. This species has a wide distribution in Eastern South America, south of the Amazon Basin. It is mostly found in woody areas of the Chaco, Cerrado, and Caatinga, as well as inland wetlands (Pantanal). It avoids dense forests.
